ECA delivers their Electrical Energy Efficiency qualification through the Ecampus Education LMS.
- The Electrical and Communications Association (ECA) is the leading voice of the electrotechnology industry and is committed to improving and advancing this sector.
- Energy efficiency has become a key issue. Installation practices, auditing and legislation are having an impact on how electrical installations need to be performed.
- This training was not picked up in trade training and as such there is a big gap in knowledge.
- Although the training was required, delivering the 20 hour course face to face around the state to 1,800 electrical contractors would be very expensive and that cost would have to be passed on to students.
- The ECA developed an accredited course and engaged SkillsAcq to convert it to an engaging, interactive elearning course resulting in the Electrical Energy Efficiency 21876VIC qualification.
- The course was deployed on Ecampus LMS Education Edition, which allowed ECA members to purchase the course online.
- The course has been very well received and undertaken by a wide range of ECA members.
- The course can be continuously updated to reflect changes in legislation and techniques.
- Future learning is embedded in the student as during the course they are required to research relevant government and industry sites.
- The course is very easy to navigate and work through and is enjoyed by participants.
